This site is an independent reference for UK residents who travel in Europe and want to understand what the European Health Insurance Card and the Global Health Insurance Card do, where they are accepted and how they sit alongside travel insurance. We keep the guidance factual, sourced from official material and written in plain English. We are now opening the site to outside contributors, and this page sets out our contributor guidelines and how to write for us.
We do not publish medical advice. Articles can describe how to access care and what documents to carry; they cannot diagnose, recommend treatments or comment on medication. Anything in that territory is cut at the editing stage.
We accept guest posts from travel writers, insurance professionals, expatriates and anyone with direct experience of using the card or dealing with healthcare while abroad. We also accept sponsored posts from companies whose products or services are relevant to our readers, such as travel insurers, comparison sites, travel agents and health-tech providers. A sponsored article is paid for by the advertiser and is labelled as sponsored where disclosure is required.
Every article we publish is permanent and indexed. Links placed within the editorial body are dofollow, provided they lead to a genuinely useful resource for the reader. Pricing for sponsored placements is available on request. Once we have an accepted draft, the typical turnaround to a live page is three to five working days.
Send your draft as a Google Doc, a Word document or plain HTML. If you include images, they must be your own or licensed for reuse.
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Guest post: <topic>". Give us the working title, a three-sentence summary and a note on why UK travellers would find it useful. If you want to submit an article that is already written, attach it or share a link. For a sponsored post, say so in the first line so we can reply with current pricing straight away.
We answer every message, usually within two working days.
Questions about any of the above can also go to [email protected].
